A morning person

So this is what a morning person looks like.  Ella has slept through the night the last two nights.  Last night she went to bed around 7:30 and slept until 5:00.  It's great, except I'm not really a  morning person.  I mean 7:00 is great, but I thought my 5:00 a.m. mornings ended when I got out of the Army.  Nope, this little ray of sunshine is bringing them back.  Oh well, I get an early start to my day so I'll take it.  She typically plays for a couple of hours and it ready for a nap, which is about the time my other ray of sunshine (Caleb) makes his entrance and we get our day started.  Enjoy your Wednesday!

Trying something new...

I have decided (rightfully so) that I spend way too much time on Facebook.  It really does just suck the life out of me.  However, it is great for keeping up with family and friends and keeping them updated on our lives here in Kentucky.  The majority of our family is spread across the US and we have friends all over the world!  Facebook is our only means of communication with many of them.  The issue is I get sucked into things that really shouldn't matter to me or time wasters.  So I'm going old school and heading back to blogger land:)  I will update this blog at least once a week with the happenings here and with updated pictures of the kiddos for family and friends.  I will occasionally check Facebook, but if I find myself on there too much I will deactivate my account...I'm kind of harsh like that.

That being said, please participate with us in the venture!  Leave comments, e-mail us and let's get more personal than the Facebook chat and "liking" of pictures.  Of course, if you don't have time to comment or e-mail, just enjoy the posts!  If you notice I'm not posting, hold me accountable and tell me about it!  After this it's going back to really old school and writing letters.  I've yet to send out "Thank You" notes for wedding gifts (been married 12 years now), so I doubt I'll do too well at writing letters.
