Good morning

This is what a 10 month old can do in 10 minutes.  It was clean this morning.

Update

Summer went by so quickly.  It was fun and we stayed busy with our new friends and neighbors.  We started back to school in August and took an extended break in October.  We're back at it again!  Caleb is doing really well at keeping up, staying ahead.  I swear he teaches me more about science then I do him :)

Ella is crawling now.  She really gets going when she wants to get somewhere.  She also walks around with the assistance of a toy walker.  She just started that a couple days ago.  She's just growing way too fast.

Brian has been super busy at work for a couple of months.  So blessed to have a wonderful husband to support us so I can stay home with the kiddos.  He's a great husband and father.

This month Brian's dad and step mom, Pat, are coming to visit and in December his mom and step dad, Gill, will be here.  So excited to see them all!

Look for more frequent updates this winter.

Red Lobster

So, what does a Lobster and a pound of Crab Legs look like:

Well, this is what the leftovers look like.  Here's the before:

Caleb has been begging to go to Red Lobster with Mamaw and it finally happened.  He was soooo excited.  Mamaw was gracious enough to foot the bill for the massive feast.  I personally am not a fan of shell fish so we don't eat it often.  I really think Caleb just enjoys dissecting the lobster and taking apart the crab legs.  Whatever the reason, he finally got his wish and we can stop hearing everyday, "Can we go to Red Lobster tonight?"  So, thanks Mamaw!!

All moved in and still going

So the last 2 months have been crazy.  We listed our house, got an offer in 4 days and closed in 3 weeks.  We're now happy residents of Erlanger, Kentucky.  We're closer to Brian's work, which has already saved us on gas.  We've joined a family center with a gym and a pool.  We all love it.  Caleb has some impressive diving skills.  So proud of him.

Ella is getting bigger, although still a petite baby.  At her 6 month appointment last week she weighed in at 15 pounds, which puts her in the 15th percentile for weight; however, she is completely healthy and just so happy.  We were blessed with two beautiful (inside and out) children.

I've managed to keep up transcription during the move.  It's been nice to bring in a little extra money but keeps me busy.

I'm currently working on new curriculum for Caleb.  He was very excited about his science, not so much about writing.  I'm praying I picked a curriculum he can click with.  He's so intelligent and I want to ensure he can express himself clearly and concisely in writing.  He also has such a vivid imagination and I want him to be able to put it down on paper...he needs to let it out of his brain :)

Well, this has been a very short rambling.  I'll get some pictures of the house posted soon...and of the kids :)

Painting

We're getting our house ready to list.  When we moved in our house was yellow, orange, red and green.  The previous owners did some patch work and apparently used the wrong finish of paint so the walls were...well, terrible.  We just haven't got around to painting.  We're really trying to push to get our house on the market this month so we opted to hire some painters to finish it up.  They're doing a great job!

A morning person

So this is what a morning person looks like.  Ella has slept through the night the last two nights.  Last night she went to bed around 7:30 and slept until 5:00.  It's great, except I'm not really a  morning person.  I mean 7:00 is great, but I thought my 5:00 a.m. mornings ended when I got out of the Army.  Nope, this little ray of sunshine is bringing them back.  Oh well, I get an early start to my day so I'll take it.  She typically plays for a couple of hours and it ready for a nap, which is about the time my other ray of sunshine (Caleb) makes his entrance and we get our day started.  Enjoy your Wednesday!
